History

Roger Jacobs Sr. started in the theatrical lighting industry in 1968. He cofounded Stage Brite Lighting and Controls in 1972 to design and manufacture lighting systems for institutional facilities, professional theaters and entertainment venues. Stage Brite pioneered the use of advanced controls in its lighting solutions and became nationally known for its innovation.

These projects provided a strong base of experience upon which Roger decided to expand. His goal was to build a company that provided a more comprehensive offering to clients.

Focus Companies was born in the mid-1990s. Roger’s two sons, Roger Jr. and Ron, joined the operation and have ensured that every project is delivered with exceptional customer satisfaction ever since.

Focus Companies has added staff and energy-consulting experts to provide a more complete and comprehensive set of services.
